What is technology integration? Why should teachers integrate technology in the classroom? What effective strategies exist to encourage higher levels of teacher technology integration?  What are the skills and tools that teachers need to effectively integrate technology into their instructional practices? These are the questions that we hope will be answered throughout this exciting new series of workshops that has been designed to complement the work that has already started in school districts across the region.  Based on the highly successful Beginner’s Technology Proficiency Series developed by the New Jersey Network of ETTCs in 1997, this series will provide K-12 teachers with a thorough overview of topics that will build and strengthen their abilities to more fully integrate technology across all content areas and all instructional modalities.

TIPS Workshops are organized into 6 categories:

  • Managing the Technology-Rich Classroom
  • Interactive Whiteboards
  • Multimedia Across the Content Areas
  • Implementing Global Learning in Your Classroom
  • Web Literacy
  • Teacher’s Toolkit

Teachers do not need to register for workshops in any particular order.  Workshops may be taken out of sequence.

Completion of 12 designated workshops within the series will earn participants a special certificate from the SRI&ETTC noting this accomplishment and designation.
