Research-based educational program resources:
- What Works Clearinghouse; Institute of Educational Sciences, US Dept. of Ed., http://ies.ed.gov/ncee/wwc/ .This website is designed to provide scientific evidence of what works in education and reviews programs and research within the following topics: Beginning Reading K-3, Character Education, Dropout Prevention, Early Childhood Education, Elementary School Math, English Language Learners, Middle School Math Curriculum. The site includes downloadable practice guides in PDF form.

Center on Instruction, www.centeroninstruction.org/ . This is a collection of scientifically based research and information on K-12 instruction in reading, math, science, special education, and English language learning. Resources are available to download in PDF form.
- Center for Evidence-Based Practices: Young Children with Challenging Behavior, http://challengingbehavior.fmhi.usf.edu/ . The Center is funded by the US Dept of Ed, Office of Special Education Programs to promote the use of evidence-based practice to meet the needs of young children who have, or are at risk for, problem behavior. The site includes handouts, training modules, and teaching tools.
- Forum on Child and Family Statistics: www.childstats.gov. This group of Federal agencies collects, analyzes, and reports data on issues related to children and families. The July 2008 report “America’s Children in Brief: Key National Indicators of Well-Being, 2008” reviews statistics on demographics, family and social environments, economics, healthcare, physical environment, behavior, education, and health.

All Kinds Of Minds Institute: www.allkindsofminds.org. Practical solutions for educators to unlock the potential of all children who learn differently. Goal is to translate the latest research on how children learn into programs, products, and services that help students struggling in school become more successful learners. Their philosophy and methods emphasize team collaboration by parents, students, educators, and clinicians to better understand and nurture children’s individual learning profiles of strengths and weaknesses. - Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Model Programs Guide, www.dsgonline.com/mpg2.5/mpg_index.htm . This site contains a database of evidence-based programs including community and school-based programs for at-risk children.
- Safe, Disciplined and Drug-Free Schools Program Inventory www.unf.edu/dept/fie/sdfs/program_inventory . This site contains a list of programs that meet the US Dept. of Ed. Principles of Effectiveness requirements for the Safe and Drug-Free Schools, compiled by the Florida Department of Education through the University of North Florida. The site includes links to the programs.

- Center for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning, www.casel.org/home.php . The Center is a collaborative that works to advance the science and evidence-based practice of social and emotional learning. The site includes links to programs and lessons, and a searchable database.
Resources for Planning and Coordinating Student Interventions
- Center for Effective Collaboration and Practice, http://cecp.air.org/ . The Center’s goal is to foster the development and the adjustment of children with or at risk of developing serious emotional disturbance. The site has links to effective practices of intervention, coordination of services, and behavioral assessment.
- National Center on Student Progress Monitoring, US Office of Special Education Programs, www.studentprogress.org . This site contains resources in curriculum areas, data-based decision-making, RTI. The resources are not limited to special education.

- National High School Center, www.betterhighschools.org/ . This site is a source of information and expertise on high school improvement issues and includes resources on a variety of issues affecting high school teachers/students.

- OSEP National Technical Assistance Center on Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports, www.pbis.org/main.htm
- RTI Action Network: http://rtinetwork.org/ . This is a program of the Nat’l Center for Learning Disabilities. Information on the site is organized by instructional level. The site also includes a section for parents.
- National Center on Response to Intervention: www.rti4success.org . This site includes resources for all levels of instruction.
- New Jersey Positive Behavioral Supports: www.njpbs.org. Sponsored by the New Jersey Department of Education office of Special Education Programs in collaboration with the Elizabeth M. Boggs Center on Developmental Disabilities at UMDNJ-RWJMS. The site offers resources to assist schools and school districts in developing programs and intervention strategies that reduce occurrences of discipline and behavior problems and subsequently increasing student achievement and the inclusion of students with disabilities engaging in challenging behaviors within general education programs. Includes resources for educators and families.
- Illinois Positive Behavioral Supports Network: www.pbisillinois.org . Includes research and resources in support of the following topics: prevention-based school-wide systems of positive behavior support, data-based decision-making for instruction of behavior and academics, wraparound planning for students with complex emotional and behavioral needs and their families, community-based supports for families, youth and schools.
Intervention Central: www.interventioncentral.com . Tools and resources to help school staff and parents promote positive classroom behavior and foster effective learning for all students. Includes intervention ideas and curriculum-based measurement resources for academic and behavior areas.
