Challenge Questions will be posted in January 2006
If you would like to register for the contest please click here
Each week for
the contest’s duration a new Math Challenge will be posted
to this website. Each question will focus on a different cluster
of the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards for mathematics.

Week 1: Numbers Sense, Operations
and Properties
o Week 2: Measurement and Geometry
o Week 3: Data analysis, Probability
and/or Discrete math
o Week 4: Patterns and Algebra
*** Remember
this is a mathematics communication exercise. Answers are being
judged on the clarity of the explanation of the correct response.
Extra points are awarded for as many correct unique methods of answering
the problem.
To solve a problem above:
1. View the
math challenge by clicking on a link above. (If the problem is not
viewable, a message willl appear indicating when the question will
be posted.)
2. After reviewing
the problem and working collaboratively as a group, click the link
to respond.
3. You will
be prompted to log in.
4. Submit your
written response. NOTE: After hitting the submit
button, you will proceed to a page where you can review your answer
and attach any documents or supporting materials. Attach your document
here. Teams can only upload ONE attachment.
5. Log out.
