"NetDay, Funding and The E-Rate" Teleconference in Atlantic County


NetDay is the grass-roots, volunteer effort to get all our nation's K-12 schools wired for the Internet. NetDay is approaching quickly - October 25, 1997 - and we hope that this information will help you get the wheels in motion to make NetDay happen in your school.

Atlantic County ETTC and the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey present live and rebroadcast sessions on NetDay preparations on:

Workshop Goals

This program will help schools get connected to the Information Superhighway by helping educators, librarians, administrators, concerned citizens, donors and other relevant parties make good technology decisions and investments. Toward this goal, the workshop will address connectivity options ... developing and updating connectivity/technology plans ...understanding and making application to resources that may help fund these connections, including the E-Rate, TIIAP, the Technology Literacy Challenge Fund, corporate contributors, foundations, etc. ... and the NetDay activities scheduled for Saturday, October 25.

Workshop Audience

This workshop is a "must see" for Local NetDay organizers and volunteers, including parents and teachers; Site administrators/principals/school heads and directors; County and district superintendents; Technology coordinators; Managers of educational facilities; Representatives from educational organizations; and Partners and Sponsors from business, labor, service organizations, etc.
