Stained glass - David Maitland Armstrong (1836 - 1918 )

Born near Newburgh, New York, David Maitland Armstrong was originally a painter; he later became a designer of stained glass. According to one source, Armstrong’s daughter Helen probably designed the windows in Flemington Presbyterian Church, Flemington, New Jersey (seen below). Helen worked for her father’s firm as a designer and ran the studio after his death.(1)
