Annual Conference - Every year, the ETTC holds the "From My Classroom to Yours"Conference that brings together educators from around the state.
Technology in the Classroom Contest - Every year, the ETTC rewards teachers for original lessons that integrate technology and meet the New Jersey standards. The contest site provides a great source for ready-to-replicate lesson ideas.
Every year, the ETTC holds a competition for fourth grade classrooms where teams of students solve open-ended mathematics questions that are posted on the ETTC website weekly. The competition is always intense!

CPD: A Model for High Quality Teachers

ACE + grants: The ETTC is partnering with several ACE+ Centers to provide professional development, mentoring, and/or evaluation services.The vision of ACE+ continues to be access, collaboration, and equity with a focus on language arts and literacy. ACE + Centers that ETTC is working with include Asbury Park Public School District, Millville Public Schools, the Pleasantville Charter School of Academic Excellence and Woodbine Public Schools.
Open Heart, Open Mind -A $145,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities created Open Heart, Open Mind - a project that brings together middle school teachers from Somers Point and Mullica School Districts. Activities include graduate courses on Holocaust and genocide education, monthly discussions, and action-research projects culminating in curricular reform.
The World Comes to Your Classroom - A $50,000 grant from the Verizon Foundation is one of five awards statewide in the Edlink New Jersey program. The project will help schools nationwide better use their video-conferencing facilities. The ETTC will offer K-12 schools a rich array of content that schools can register for – as in-class experiences for students, and professional development opportunities for their teachers.
Whole School Reform - The NJ DOE awarded a grant to the Atlantic County ETTC to concentrate on Whole School Reform at Pleasantville Middle School. The grant facilitated the use of technology by teachers to directly improve their ability to address New Jersey's Core Curriculum Content Standards and improve the implementation of the Co-nect model. Highlights include a multimedia CD (available from the ETTC at no cost) and partner website featuring digital portfolios.
NJ Elite - NJ ELITE Core Institutes at the Southern Regional ETTC are part of the statewide NJ ELITE grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation for leadership in technology.

NJSSI Specialty Site - The ETTC has been awarded funding to serve as a specialty site for NJ SSI. Highlights include the development of the Technology Integration in Math and Science Education (TIMSE) Certificate for math and science teachers. The ETTC also hosted the NJ SSI Regional Showcase on May 8, 2001

Pairing and Sharing grants: The ETTC partnered with and provided professional development to two Pairing and Sharing projects: Atlantic City School District with Asbury Park Schools, and Wildwood School District with Stafford School District.
Best Practices Academy: The ETTC was chosen to serve as the Best Practices Academy for Southern and Central New Jersey in 2001.
ACE grants: The ETTC partnered with and provided professional development to three ACE Centers - Atlantic City School District, Buena School District and Oceanside Charter School District in 2001 and 2002. The Press Clips page provides some highlights.
