Tips for making the connections

  1. Have a "Plan B", that is another lesson that can be substituted at the last minute if the connections do not work!!
  2. Do a "trial run" or test connection, to be sure that you can connect to the remote site.
  3. Prompt or remind students of "Video conferencing Behavior" prior to making a connection.
  4. Have a telephone available and exchange phone numbers with the site that you are connecting to.
  5. Remind students and adults in room, not to chat.
  6. Do not lecture more than 15 minutes!!
  7. Vary activites and include as much interaction as possible.
