The World
Comes to Your Classroom
The
Verizon Foundation has awarded a $50,000 grant to the Atlantic County
ETTC at Stockton College.
The ETTC has developed
a series of workshops for K-12 students and teachers to be provided over
distance learning. Each workshop will last approximately 45 minutes and
will typically include a multimedia presentation, a brief lecture/discussion,
a question & answer period and a followup interactive quiz. A companion
website will be available shortly for student reference and lesson plan
ideas for teachers. Workshops
will either be conducted onsite at one school (with connection to one
or more other schools via video-conferencing) or at the Richard Stockton
College with a connection to one school. Both ISDN and ATM-based videoconferencing
can be supported.
